Blacked out Trunk Lettering and Badges??

I need some advise. I have the Shelby trunk lettering in chrome and I'm trying to figure out what's the best way of painting it black. I decided to black out all the badges on the GT. I've seen a few images of this done but no one seems to explain how they did it or where. I've "Googled" as much as I could on all this, to only find a dead end. If anyone can help me out on this, it would be most appreciated! Thanks!

if its chromed or has any sort of finish on it i would suggest sanding it a little so that the paint has something to grab on to and prime it before u black it out and itll come out looking good

ya if u dont sand them a little the paint wont stick and just flake off and make sure u use decent paint dont use cheap rattle cans. when it comes to paint majority of the time u get what u pay for

Very true! I'm going to do some research on it. I don't want to mess it up. Might end up taking it to a shop if they can do it for me. Just hate to pay a lot for something so minor. But either way good info to know. Thanks again!
