Two reported injured in I-5 crash

SAN DIEGO: At least two people were injured in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 near state Route 94 about 2 p.m. Monday that may have involved three vehicles racing, according to KGTV/Channel 10, a media partner of the Union-Tribune.
One of the victims may have had his legs severed during the crash, according to Channel 10. A section of the I-5 near downtown San Diego remains closed, California Highway Patrol Officer Larry Landeros said. Landeros did not have information available to verify details of the accident.
