Deadly Accident on I-5 Involving a possible Mustang

NATIONAL CITY, Calif. - Two motorists died Tuesday in a South Bay crash, and investigators were looking into the possibility that the victim's car went over the side of an interchange ramp and fell to the freeway below.
The car ended up in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 at state Route 54 around 4:10 p.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Jesse Udovich said.
The victims, who were not immediately identified, were pronounced dead at the scene, Udovich said.
He said officers were sorting out witness statements that suggested the car, possibly a red Ford Mustang, went off one of the flyover ramps crossing above Interstate 5.
Freeway lanes were closed for about 45 minutes, clogging traffic in the area.

I hope this wasn't one of ours. My condolences go out to their families.

That's a shame. I heard it on the radio as I was going home from Coronado. Isn't that two red mustangs in less than 2 months that have been involved in major accidents?

that on ramp from 54 West to 5 North is a tempting curve. I know I have taken it at higher than legal speeds.
