Gaslamp Quarter Annual Fifth Avenue Auto Showcase
October 10, 2010
Whether you are an avid car enthusiast or a casual admirer, you are invited to join us for the Second Annual Fifth Avenue Auto Showcase, rolling into the Gaslamp Quarter on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Last year’s event was a huge success, with over 10,000 guests taking in Italian Exotics, Detroit Muscle, American Legends and Special Interest cars spectacularly displayed along Fifth Avenue, set against the dramatic backdrop of the district’s Victorian architecture. This year’s exciting event will be even bigger and better, with the addition of everything from European Luxury to Vintage Motorcycles to the iconic Woodies of California’s beach culture heyday.

Thanks to those who came out last year to the Inaugural Fifth Avenue Auto Showcase! Each block of Fifth Avenue between E Street and Market Street was a dedicated car salon for each specific class, totaling three car salons with 60 supercars from many domestic and exotic automakers. Special thanks to the many, many car owners who joined us for this, our first year event. Must-see attractions included dozens of American muscle cars centered in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, as well as classic and new Ferraris and Maseratis lined up outside The Keating Hotel, the boutique luxury hotel world-renowned for its design by Pininfarina. Also not to be missed were the specialty vehicles prized by car collectors – a Minerva AL Model 3 Drophead, a Bentley Speed Six, and a Glenn Pray Auburn, to name a few, and other rare, exotic cars spectacularly displayed along Fifth Avenue, just north of Market Street. This eclectic array of cars includes everything from a 1970 Plymouth Superbird to a 2009 Ferrari 16M Scuderia, a 1975 Lamborghini Urraco to a 1930 Isotta Fraschini Flying Star.
