***The Vista Palms Car Wash and Professional Detail Center w/ RE/MAX Pacific Celebrates Armed Forces Day***
Joins with Community to Sponsor Special Event
WHAT: The Vista Palms Car Wash together with RE/MAX Pacific is celebrating Armed Forces Day 2010 by joining with a dozen other area businesses to honor our local heroes, the men and women in uniform. The patriotic owners of this establishment have agreed to offer for one day only FREE FULL SERVICE CAR WASH to all active/reserve service members with identification those arriving in uniform will also receive free food. What started out as a simple event garnered such a response that has resulted in an outpour of community gratitude and evolved into a free concert and street fair as well.
WHO: Organized by local Realtor David T Mejia, an agent and team leader at RE/MAX Pacific whos co-owner Max Folkers is a Naval Academy graduate and veteran. Mejia, a former Army Soldier of the Year, and The Vista Palms Car Wash along with his fellow agents, and participating area business, including Home Depot, Bank of America, Herbalife, Tork Motor Sports, Queen Bee, and Casa Machado and Danritas Gourmet Hot Dogs, have created an event filled day featuring live music, free food, and thousands of dollars in special raffle prizes for all active and reserve service members in uniform or with a valid active/reserve ID.
WHEN: Sunday, May 16 from 11 am ribbon cutting to 6 pm close.

Quote: Event coordinator David was quoted as saying” So often we take time to forward emails about chain letters, and people in faraway places it is my hope that this ONE DAY that we have the opportunity to support our neighbors, brothers, and sisters, in the Military capital of our country San Diego, we do so with such dedication that by the time the date arrives we will be able to personally thank each and every Soldier, Sailor, Airman, and Marine in person with a tiny gesture of appreciation they so much deserve.
