Well been a slow deployment so far. Left Hawaii on June 1st. Then went to Guam for an overnight. Then off to Singapore for a couple days. Been there a million times. We then arrived in Puerto Princessa Phillipines. Stayed for about a week. It was good but really small. They had a Shakeys pizza but no Starbucks. Now we are in the great country of Vietnam...... yeah now I will be able to say "Back when I was in Nam....." Should make for some interesting stories. Vietnam requires any ship pulling into their country to fly their flag on it.... nothing like a US warship with a Vietnam flag flying from it. In my opinion it is just wrong, but thats why I am not a politician. Oh and the best news of the week, I have been extended from 3 years at sea to now 4 years. Looks like I will probably retire from this ship and move on with life. Was hoping to take a tour back in San Diego again, but dont think it will happen.
