06blkGt My suggestion to you is to go with a gear from Ford racing. If I where you I would go with the 3:73 or 4:10. i say that because Ford will cover the ford Racing gears. I did 4:10 but I I where to take them out for some reason I def go with 3:73 just to have the extra top end. Kinda nice doing 150-160mph w/ 3:55. When i went home to MO I loved my gears. Most roads are 55 mph. windVeil is from STl as well so 4:30's are great for him. You know most drive 80 here in Cali so I kinda wish I had 3:73 besides that way this winter when I get a super charger I wont run out of gear...just my opinion

I really like the 4:30's alot. It comes out of the hole harder, and when I get some wider rubber underneath it, I think the frying the tires issue will ease a bit. I had the same problem with my '69 Camaro... it would just melt the tires through the first three gears with 4:11s in a 12 bolt posi and ran 14 flats. Once we went to the Dana and spool with slicks, it immediately went 2 full seconds quicker with 4:56's. Also, if you are considering a blower, Phill is right... stay with 3:73's or maybe 3:90's, tops. I am even considering a set of FRPP 4:56's if I change trannys, but the new valvetrain work has to come first.

I broke the two that hook to the frame of the car. They where like I cant believe you damaged them. I was like I drive my car hard. With everyone back home telling me to fry the tires lol and me doing doughnuts starting in second and shifting to 3rd to get the tires to boil and whip the car faster...yeah they dont hold up..lol

- Forged Ironblock(Romeo block) 298 stroker( Stage 2 Livernois heads and 127550 Comp stage 2's sitting in rest of parts pile)
- TR6060 6 speed, Spec stage 3+ with a Fidanza Aluminum flywheel(again in the parts pile btw if anyone needs the Ford p/n's for the swap I have them on excel).
- BMR K member 1/2 Lowered with Tubular A-arms (again in my parts pile)
- MAC Long-tube's (Chrome and yes it's in the ever larger pile)
- MSD COP's and the 2 stage launch control (adding a bit of red coloring to the pile of parts I have yet to install)
- 8 Rib belt kit conversion w/ 15% OD Innovators west balancer, 2.8 Thumpr pulley with Thumpr tensioner with 90mm Idler(Just me being lazy and it's meant for the stroker engine that can handle the extra boost).
And yet I'm still not done buying crap for this car, thinking of the Whipple monoblade t/b and 80Lb. Injectors.

Hey Jim why the gear change? Going to 5:13's or dropping down to 4:10's LOL
