Phil what they don't show you is the k rails less than a car length away from the barrels so if you spin out or loose control even just alittle bit BLAM into the k rail you go.

Yeah, originally, they were trying to get cars to do doughnuts inside the old street tire side (which was closed after heavy rains in January caused flooding, and damaged the asphalt). That was crazy, as I watched a guy in a Pontiac Solstice whack the wall during early testing.

I believe they may have moved the new Octane Slide track out of the K rail. Here is the info from RaceLegal.com:
"We have worked with two different tracks over the last few weeks and decided that COMBINING the both of them would be the best. But we needed room to play! So we are placing this NEW TRACK, still named the “HIGH OCTANE SLIDE”, to the north end of the parking lot."

Hopefully they will also re-open the street tire side, and run both sets of drag lanes, as having everyone running on the slick/Drag Radial side was just a mess.

Damn racing with the street tire guys would def suck ass cause they tear up traction and drip water all over launch pad. Qualcom is bad enough with out a puddle of water to start out in lol.
Someone take some video of this other track. I def like to see what is going on there sounds like fun. I think they should just do a drift night and a drag night
