Some of you may be aware of this, but the Mustangs NW annual roundup is the weekend of July 16th. I called them today, and they still have about 40 spots open for the Ride and Drive at Pacific Raceways on the 14th. $130.00 if you sign up before this Friday, and $160.00 the day of the event.
The Pony Trail cruise is on the 15th, and it is going from Bellevue Community College (site of the car show) to the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort. There will be a barbeque as well as other dining opportunities, and you can ride the gondola to the top of the mountain. For you military folks, this is a very good chance to see the mountains of the NW before you transfer.
To give you an idea of how big this show is, last year it was also the Mustang Club of America Grand National show. Last year was the first time the Grand National was held on the west coast. The judged show is on Saturday the 16th. If you are in to shows you can do well at the judged show if you work at it. If I can, anyone can.
The People's Choice show is on Sunday the 17th. Island Classic Mustang Club members have done well at the People's Choice the last few years, and you guys have some nice rides to give us some competition. By the way, Sunday's show always attracts over 1,200 cars.
It's up to you, but you are welcome to roll with us to the Pony Trail and People's Choice show. A group of Canadian cars from the Greater Vancouver Mustang Association did this last year. It's not a "club thing" but a Mustang thing. The further south we got on I-5 the bigger the group became. We started with 12 in Burlington and there were a lot more than that in the group when we hit Bellevue. Drew a lot of looks and cameras on the way south.
Some of us, me included, may also do some track time.
Hopefully we will see you there. The Mustang's NW show is something you don't want to miss.
