[Nov 7, 2012] San Diego Chapter's Monthly Meeting (San Diego, CA)

This month's meeting we will have a few events to discuss for November and December. We will be discussing couple of community service events and conducting several toy drives for different program in the community. Please come out and join us in planning these events to make some underprivilidge families to have a happy and memorable Christmas.
It is also a good time to come hangout and talk and share stories with your fellow members. All are welcome, especially the new members who joined us in the past months.

Pre-meeting social is at 6pm, meeting to start at 6:30pm. You can park in the service area after 6 pm.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone, however I have recently had neck surgery from an accendent in Aug. I'll see how I'm doing but looking forward to meeting new people.

Hopefully you will feel well enough to come out tonght. If not, just rest up and recoup, there will be plenty of opportunities in the future.

We had a good meeting last night. Many information passed out to our members. We will be doing a toy drive at the Otay Ranch Chili's on November 17th. We are awaiting the flyers to be printed and we will be distributing them in the parking lot that day. The flyers will allow us to get a percentage of each bill and the money will be a fund raiser to a needy military family. In addition, we will be collecting toys at the Chilis to be donated to the Exceptional School Program at MCAS Miramar. This will be an impromptu car show to help promote our cause. Please come out to support us. The time will be from 11am-4pm.

On 11/9, Veterans' Elementary School will be having a parade. If you are able, please come out and show off your Mustang. The info is in the event section.
Some members will be going up to Barona circle track this Saturday, 11/10, to watch some short track racing. Race starts at 6pm. Some members may be meeting up early for dinner prior to heading up to the track.

On 11/12, Veterans Day. A few members will be participating in the Annual Veterans' Day parade in downtown San Diego. The organizer is still in need of convertibles. Please contact me for info and I will provide you with the contact info or you can go to that event section and the contact info is there.

Vince from DG Customs, came in and did a presentation he is putting on a carshow in January. This carshow goes to benefit his Boy Scout troop. The date of the carshow will be January 13th at the El Cajon Elks Lodge. This will be a pre-registration show as there are limited amount of space. Let's go and support one of our sponsors for this worthwhile cause. Detailsand registration to follow.

I like to welcome a couple of new members who attended last night's meeting for the first time. Bob Norton and his wife, Monica, and Ebucky. Welcome. Hope we will see you all again at our future events. Also good to see golfeagles and 1 fast gt500 again. Its been a long time.
