Good for him. Let him do what he likes and support him. If he likes both, encourage him to do both. Who knows, if he gets real good, he could be you guys' retirement.

Trick,

ENCOURAGE, ENCOURAGE, ENCOURAGE my nephew to excell in any sport he's love's playing, be it 2, 5, 1o, etc. Be the BESTEST dad you can be by allowing him to decide what sports he wants to participate in. Do not be "that" dad that forces his children to play sports and stands on the sideline berating the kids as they play. Relish in your sons play, brag just a lil to remain humble and be there for him in his wins and loses!!!

You'll do GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUREAT!!!

Always be positive even if he has a terrible game. I see he is playing flag football. The real test with that sport is when they put the pads on. If he doesn't like contact in pads, go with soccer. Otherwise it won't be an issue til he has to decide between them due to them being the same season.

Football starts to wear on you(the parent) after awhile though. practice everyday and then weekends when you just want to relax, you got to get up early and roll out... but when the season is over you realize how much time you have now.
