We are pleased to announce that we are beginning to plan our 2nd annual “Salute the Military” Day at the Barona Race Track! The 2009 event was such a huge success that we’ve been asked to do it again in 2010! What a perfect way to celebrate Armed Forces Day! Thank you again to our 2009 sponsors! For those who are not familiar with the event, we’d like to invite you to participate this year. Over 1,000 of our military family members were treated to a day of racing, a car show, BBQ, children’s activities, and took home souvenirs such as event tee shirts & family photos. Live music entertainment was also provided by a Rockabilly band and Country singer, Danielle Tucker, sang our National Anthem while the Miramar Color Guard was presenting colors. More than 100 of the fastest cars in Southern California competed in the racing, and even the stars of the Speed channel’s “Drag Race High” came out to join in the fun with us. In addition to benefitting our military families, all proceeds were donated to the Naval Special Warfare Foundation (NSWF). This event is perfect for adults and children of all ages.
