This YouTube video captures a "Dukes of Hazzard"-style jump off a heat-buckled bit of Highway 29 in Eau Claire, Wis. Despite some clear warning signs to either side of the ramplike section of road, the SUV heads through far too fast, leading to some significant hang time and, after crashing back to earth, a wild skid all the way across the oncoming lanes of traffic before finally coming to rest in a field. No word on the physical state of the driver (or any other occupants) and we wish all well -- though after watching the jump, the fact that the car came to rest wheels-down is a minor miracle.
