I had a lot of good times with W.S. since 00/01-Present. Started up the Florida chapter, Georgia chapter, was the cause of the South Carolina chapter starting, I.E. chapter. Made lots of friends and had plenty of fun. But looking at the club in general, the mindset had also shifted over the past 12/13 years. Specifically the past 2 years. With this being said, I am throwing in my towel and am off for new adventures
Thank you to a few specific people who have made the years fun. Danny, Red, Todd, David, Monica, Russell, and Lia. If I forgot to mention a few I am sorry. Good luck and always enjoy the ride.

Well I will miss having you around on here. We all move around and dont always agree with E on the things he does, but in the end, there arent many clubs like this one. I agree with Phil, for once, LOL someone find out what the deal is and fix it. Members with 12 years here should not be rolling out because of a shift. I will also say that I have seen a shift sonce leaving San Diego that the club has gone more show then when we joined in 07. It was all about running the cars on the strip, street, parking lot, or whatever. Some changes have been good, some bad, it will all come around and the true members that love the club will stay on and the others will leave and nobody will notice as they fade away. I have made a bunch of good friends here and hope to stay in touch with them throughout the years. Emilio, find a way to keep roushed here as a great long time member that needs to be heard.

Roushed, dont leave, stay and weather the storm whatever the storm is to you. It will all come back around and things will get back to normal around here. It always does.

This is his choice. There has not been any argument or anything of that nature. This club really has not change much. Yes we do do shows, but we are still racing and doing cruises, at least once a month. Our cruises are regularly attended by at least 10 cars, one cruise we had over 20 cars. The shows we do are for charity and we will do them as part of our committment to support our community. WE WILL NOT DO STREET RACING NOR WILL WE DO BURNOUTS IN PARKING LOTS. IF THAT IS SOMETHING YOU WANT TO DO, THEN THIS IS NOT THE CLUB FOR YOU. If that is the change that is being spoken of, then, yes, this club has change, at least for the San Diego Chapter. Otherwise, the spirit of the club still the same. We are still a family oriented club and promote a good reputation and build relationship with the community.

Dennis, thank you for your many years of service to this club and its causes. Your hard work and dedication to promoting this organization have given us many new friends, and great memories of the shared experiences you helped to create or foster.
I know this is not an easy decision. By quitting the club, you have left the I.E. chapter leaderless. From the group we had for Big Bear 2, it seems there are quite a few folks up there who consider themselves active members. We can only hope that one of them will carry the torch for us in your area.
Good luck to you in all your future endeavors. You will be missed.

Like I've always said, if you want to leave....see ya!!! As for the changes, I'm always confused on this comment. Is it racing? Last year Pamona Drags for the first time,..this year Willow Springs, Race Legal and Barona twice...and it's only March. Is it shows, I guess we could do more shows. Cruises...we've had four that I've attended this year....WHAT COULD IT BE THAT HAS CHANGED?

Show season is just starting, but we still have already done two, including one that we sponsored for a Boy Scout troop. Also, we have a new chapter in OKC and San Angelo. Oh, Did I mention we are also a Charter Member for the Southern California Car Club Council? Yep, we are indeed. We are better known, in a positive way, to many more car clubs in the San Diego county and hopefully in the southern california region soon.

I guess these are changes, but what do I know about changes?

That Big bear2 cruise seemed like a blast too. Too bad I wasn't in the country or I might have made that. never been to Big Bear so 'm sure it would have been fun. Maybe someone else in the area will muster up another cruise next year when I get back and it'll be on like popcorn.....(yes I just used that very old saying age showing..lol).
