so, i know i havent been around here in awhile. i get on every other day and read articles, just dont have time to post. hope all is well over here.

well, anyways, i just wanted to get you'alls opinion on something. as you know my 5.0 is always breaking and far from streetable. no heat/ac/wipers etc. well the wife wanted me to put it up for sale. in the process someone offered me a trade for a 96 cobra thats almost stock other and x-pipe and cat-back. its got 120xxx on it and a few dings here and there, other than that its good. he says he drives it daily. i dont know much about 96 snakes, ive heard they arent the greatest, so i jsut wanted everyones opinion. thanks

i dunno beejay thats alot of miles on a slowbra. i mean i had 124xxx and oyu know i drive hard and my car was pretty dec so his could be good till 150 easily just they go cheap like 5-6k

i know. im selling mine for 5 and there is nobody interested after i tell them about it. its too much like a track car. but this guy wants a track project. i think i could trade him strait up, then sell his for 5 or 6 and be better off than i am now. who knows.

vp, what are some knows problems with th 96 cobras. what should i look out for. i'll post some pics of it too. its got a little body damage, and some exhaust, but for the most part its stock.

you can see if it leaks or if you rev it up to 6k if dark black or blueish smoke comes out. ask him if its the stock tranny (i dont think its possible to be the priginaly one) T-45's are garbage i bought the car with 71k on it and between then and when i sold it went through 1 t-45 2 rebuilds and then i said **** it and bought the beast tranny but we both know i drive my car hard. the TOB's go bad pretty easily but they are cheap. the IACV's usually go about 80 or 90k has the guy said it has any problems or he replaced anything?

tranny is new w/ clutch and TOB. he got the car from a buddy not too long ago and wants a fox instead. thats all i know really. it has a check engine light he says is for the o2's, but i want to verify that before anything.

yes check that code before you do anything! wow... that looks like mine when i bought it... that thing is super stock... i dont think they had spray or a blower and returned everything to stock theres no way.... the interior looks clean and seats are in great condition compared to what my stockers looked like before i put the racing seats in... doesnt even have a short shifter lol... why is the license there in the front? custom brackets? or hide away license plate holder like mine?
